Gone are the days when I choose the most adorable costumes and make it seem like I’m giving the girls an option but I’m technically choosing three I love and convince them why there’s totally perfect.
Oh well…I still have my youngest on board and I’m soaking in every last minute, outfit, and hair bow while it lasts!
Back to the tween…She made her own tweaks and took what she loved about it and started the search.
Where to buy materials
We found the slip at Target for $17.99 or here’s a similar one on Amazon Prime for $12.99 and went to Hobby Lobby for the sheets of felt and white pom poms. We had a hot glue gun and glue sticks. Be sure to buy plenty of glue sticks as you’ll need to fold the felt for the whipped cream.
We printed out the Starbucks logo from Southern Curls and Pearls, cut it out and glued onto a piece of felt to make it sturdy and then onto the slip.
Lilly decided to make a different hair piece after buying a frappucino so we glued white pom poms and half of her straw to the lid and then onto a black head band we already had at home.
The dress was an adult size so we simply adjusted straps to the shortest length and pinned it. Black tights or leggings and shoes complete the look and if it’s actually cold where you live, add a white cardigan to it.
Adorable and affordable costume. I may use it next year!
